Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, has sparked widespread concern after posting a brief distress message on Instagram.
The singer, in a short Instagram Story on Wednesday, wrote simply: “Help me,” before deleting the post minutes later.
His message immediately went viral, prompting reactions from fans, celebrities and family members worried about his mental and emotional state.
The post came just hours after his brother, Hyacinth Idibia, expressed worry in an emotional Instagram message quoting lyrics from one of 2Face’s inspirational songs.
Hyacinth urged the award-winning artiste to accept help, saying the singer had been “suffering for too long,” while appealing to Nigerians to pray for him.
The latest development follows weeks of public tension between 2Face and his wife, Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, whose troubled relationship has dominated social media conversations.
Their marital issues reportedly escalated during a heated confrontation in the United Kingdom, a situation that allegedly led to police intervention and the singer’s brief arrest.
Despite attempts to downplay the incident, the conflict resurfaced during a heated Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where the couple openly argued while viewers watched.
The string of incidents has intensified speculation about a deepening crisis in the marriage, raising further questions about the singer’s well-being.
Many fans have since flooded social media with messages of support, urging the veteran performer to seek help and prioritize his mental health.
2Face, one of Africa’s most celebrated musicians, has not issued any follow-up statement since the now-deleted post, leaving many awaiting clarity on the situation.
