DELTA: Hon. Samson Zamora Afure Efe, a prominent member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli South, has officially resigned from the party, expressing his dissatisfaction with the leadership of Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. Efe, a former member of the Ughelli South Legislative Arm, cited biased appointments and the party’s failure to provide effective leadership as the primary reasons for his decision.
In a resignation letter dated January 14, 2025, addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ewu Ward II, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Efe criticized the uneven distribution of the Ukodo Agenda and the overall lack of direction within the party.
“Recent developments within the party have made it practically impossible for me to continue participating.
The party’s failure to provide the necessary leadership as expected has forced this resignation,” Efe stated in the letter, which was also copied to the PDP Chairman of Ughelli South and the State Working Committee Chairman.
This development marks a significant shift in the Ughelli South PDP chapter, with Efe’s departure seen as a direct challenge to the party’s current leadership and internal politics.
