DELTA: Dangote Industries Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to innovation-driven manufacturing, leveraging advanced technology to enhance efficiency across its operations, including its automobile, cement, and agricultural sectors.
Speaking at the Dangote Special Day during the 46th Kaduna International Trade Fair, Senior Advisor to the President of the Dangote Group, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, highlighted how digitization has transformed the company’s production and sales processes.
“As some of you may be aware, we have since digitized our manufacturing and sales processes through the deployment of automated and smart systems, particularly in our cement plants,” she said.
She explained that the adoption of integrated technology across Dangote’s cement, sugar, salt, fertilizer, petrochemicals, and agricultural operations has solidified the group’s leadership in these industries. The company has also introduced the Dangote Management System (DMS) application, available on Android and iOS, to streamline product orders for registered customers in cement, sugar, and salt distribution.
In the automobile sector, Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (DPAN) has enhanced local vehicle assembly, producing up to 120 vehicles daily and 44,000 units annually. “By assembling globally renowned Peugeot models—such as the Landtrek pickup, 3008, 5008, and 508 GT—DPAN fosters trade by reducing import dependency and providing locally assembled vehicles at competitive prices,” she stated.
President of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), Ishaya Idi, commended Dangote Group’s efforts in job creation and its sustained partnership with the chamber.
Dangote Industries Limited remains one of Africa’s leading conglomerates, continuously expanding its technological capabilities to drive industrial growth and economic development in Nigeria.
