SEXUAL HARASSMENT:Senate Suspends Natasha…

The sexual harassment drama at the Senate has taken a new twist, as the Senate on Thursday issued a six-month suspension to Natasha Akpoti-Udughan, the senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District.

It reached a majority vote in agreement with the recommendations of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Code of Conduct.

During plenary, Akpoti-Uduaghan was denied an opportunity to speak before Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President.

Her salaries and those of her legislative aides would also be suspended during this time.

The committee said for her to appeal her suspension, she must tender a written apology to the Senate for violating its rules.
