Members of the Delta State Awareness Creation Committee for youth enlistment in Military and other paramilitary exercises led by the Commissioner for Youth Development Mr Thank God Trakirowe have called on youths in Warri South Local Government Area to avail themselves of the opportunity to be enlisted in the Nigeria military, the police and other para military exercises.1
Mr Trakirowe made the call on Friday,22nd November,during an interface with youth leaders from various communities in Warri,at the King George Hall,Warri South Local Government Area.
The Commissioner for Youth Development who lamented that Delta state has continued to record low number of persons in military and para military disclosed that the awareness by the state government is targeted at the twenty-five local Government Areas of the state in order to have a one on one rapport with the youths and get them to take advantage of slots made available to the state to kickstarter careers in the military.
Mr Trakirowe urging the youths of Warri South Origin to enrol in the military notes that there are lots of opportunities to be gained.
Chairman of Warri South Local Government Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro who wondered why youths of Warri South Local Government over the years shy away from participating in Military enlistment exercises despite the huge benefits involved and created a desk headed by the supervisory councillor for Human Capital Development Hon Misan Eke with the view to address all matters relating to the enlistment of Warri South Local Government Area indigens.Others who spoke including the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youth Development Mrs Ngozi Mogbolu and the Delta State Representative Army Recruitment Exercise Pastor Emmanuel Egode admonished them not to shy away from participating in Military and para military activities.They enjoined the youths leaders present at the event to take the message home and sensitize others .
Meanwhile ongoing recruitment into the Nigerian Air Force will end on the 26th of November 2024.
