Guinean Ambassador Shines Light On $20 Billion Projects Open to Nigerian Firms…

The Guinean Ambassador to Nigeria, Siaka Cissoko, has revealed that Guinea is currently undertaking mega-projects valued at around $20 billion—offering significant opportunities for Nigerian businesses.

Speaking during a courtesy visit from the Diplomatic Correspondents Association of Nigeria (DICAN), Cissoko urged Nigerian companies to explore these ventures, highlighting the potential for increased bilateral cooperation.

“These multi-billion-dollar initiatives are open for Nigerian firms to manage,” he said, noting the long-standing relationship between the two countries. He also emphasized the need for better information-sharing to help Guinean investors recognize untapped opportunities in Nigeria.

Cissoko praised DICAN’s role in bridging the information gap and encouraged greater collaboration, especially in sectors like mining, where both countries are richly endowed.

He also pledged support for initiatives in training, information exchange, and charitable efforts involving the less privileged.

DICAN Chairman, Fredrick Idehai, reaffirmed the association’s commitment to supporting the Guinean embassy and promoting its development agenda. He emphasized the importance of accurate, ethical journalism in strengthening diplomatic and economic ties.

Guinea and Nigeria have maintained strong relations since 1958.
