2027:Omo-Agege Declares Delta an APC Stronghold as Delta Unity Group Joins Party

Former Deputy Senate President and 2023 Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has declared Delta State a stronghold of the APC.

He made the statement while formally welcoming members of the Delta Unity Group (DUG) into the party during a rally held at the Old Bendel Hotel in Boji Boji Owa, Agbor.

The event, which commenced at 10 a.m., attracted prominent political stakeholders and APC supporters from across the state.

Addressing the crowd, Omo-Agege commended the rapid expansion of the APC in Delta State.

He highlighted the upcoming visit of the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, as a testament to the party’s growing influence in the region.

He credited the increase in party membership to the efforts of both national and local leaders, particularly in the Ika Federal Constituency, a former stronghold of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“Over 60% of PDP members in Delta have joined the APC, and the number continues to grow daily,” Omo-Agege stated. “With this influx, coupled with the dedication of our members who stood firm during the 2023 general elections, there is no reason President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should not be re-elected in 2027.”

The former senator also expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, describing his economic reforms as transformative and essential for national progress.

Welcoming the Delta Unity Group to the APC, Omo-Agege emphasized the party’s inclusive nature: “In the APC, we don’t have founders or joiners — everyone is equal.”
