ANAMBRA: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday visited Anambra State to inaugurate a major federal government project, in a move seen as part of his renewed push to fast-track infrastructure delivery across the country.
The President, who arrived in the state capital Awka to a warm reception, was received by Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, alongside several top-ranking state officials and dignitaries from across Nigeria. Among those present was the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, who joined the event in a show of inter-state solidarity and political cooperation.
Speaking briefly at the unveiling ceremony, President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s focus on “impact-driven projects that reflect the yearnings of Nigerians,” noting that infrastructure remains a cornerstone of national development.
“This project is not just for Anambra, but for Nigeria. We are building a country where every region feels the impact of governance,” the President said.
Governor Soludo hailed the President’s presence in the Southeast as “a boost to federal-state collaboration,” while urging continued partnership for the region’s economic growth.
Oborevwori’s attendance also drew attention, coming on the heels of recent political realignments involving key governors. Observers see his presence as a symbolic alignment with federal developmental goals.
As more details about the project emerge, many residents have expressed hope that the initiative will trigger jobs, improve access, and revitalize the region’s economy.
