WARRI: Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has called on the newly inaugurated chairman and members of the Delta State Sports Commission to approach their responsibilities with a commitment to servant leadership, focusing on the needs of the state’s sports community.

Speaking during their swearing-in ceremony at Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba, Governor Oborevwori stressed the importance of fostering mutual respect and collaboration among board members.

He urged them to create an enabling environment that would accelerate the growth and development of sports across Delta State.

The governor also emphasized the need for the board to exhibit unwavering loyalty and align closely with the administration’s vision of enhancing the welfare of Deltans through strategic sports initiatives.

The newly constituted board includes Onoriode Joshua Oborevwori as chairman, alongside Sam Sodje, Herrita Ehiabor, and Oghale Ofremu as members.
