Nigerian Artiste Beaten to Death in Ghana Over Alleged Business Debt

Accra, Ghana – A 19-year-old upcoming Nigerian artiste, identified simply as Destiny, was reportedly beaten to death in Ghana’s Volta Region on May 28, following a dispute over alleged unremitted business funds.

Sources close to the incident revealed that a yet-to-be-identified Nigerian man based in Ghana, who had facilitated Destiny’s trip to the country and provided his apartment, accused the Edo State-born artiste of diverting money from a joint business venture. Angered by Destiny’s inability to provide satisfactory answers, the man, accompanied by two others, stormed the artiste’s apartment and subjected him to a severe assault.

Destiny reportedly succumbed to the injuries sustained during the brutal beating, with the suspects abandoning his motionless body in the room. Police were later alerted to the incident and discovered his remains a few days after the assault.

The young victim, who had reportedly moved to Ghana to further his education, was also known as a streamer and gamer. As of reporting, no suspects have been arrested in connection with his death, prompting calls for Ghanaian authorities to swiftly investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice.
