Itsekiri is the second largest Oil producing tribe/ community in Nigeria, with an estimated of 32.6% input quantum. Beneath our rich land is the various natural resources God has blessed us with. That is why today you see everyone claiming or trying to aggressively annexe our God giving land by rewriting history. But thank God that all our lands in the years past has been adjudicated upon and Itsekiri won all.
It is an established fact that we are peace loving people and we accommodate people, even in the midst of their various aggression and sponsored attacks, insults and threats against the peaceful Itsekiri Nation, we still remain peaceful………they know that there are established judgement on the various land, that is why they first carried out destruction and burning of our house and villages over 20 years ago, thinking with that they would have succeeded in destroying all evidence so that they can make claims over our land
By God grace we won’t give our land or community out to anybody who want to annexe it for themselves through violence or dollars. But we are steadily making concrete effort towards permanent peace.
