AAUA Students Issue Ultimatum to Police Over Murder Case, Demand Transparency

Akungba-Akoko – Students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), have issued a strict ultimatum to the Police following the controversial death of Femi Oladele, the prime suspect in the murder of two undergraduates.

Oladele, a landlord to the victims Abah John Friday (25) and Okah Andrel Eloho (19) reportedly confessed to orchestrating their abduction and murder after allegedly ordering cultists to “deal with” them for disrespecting him. He was arrested in a hotel in Akungba and later died in custody, reportedly after developing a sudden illness.

The police confirmed that Oladele had been under medical supervision and died on Friday. His alleged accomplices, Kola and Michael, were also arrested and linked to a ₦800,000 withdrawal from Abah’s account after the murder. The decomposed body of Eloho has been recovered, while Abah’s remains are still missing.

In a statement signed by AAUA Students’ Union leaders Salami Akeem, Bakare Jamiu Abiodun, and Ajidagba Mosadoluwa, the students demanded that the Police produce Oladele’s corpse and ensure a transparent, timely investigation.

“Justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done,” the union stressed, warning of a mass protest if their demands are not met promptly.

The students also called on Ondo State Commissioner of Police, CP Adebowale Lawal, to act with integrity and professionalism in handling the sensitive case.
