OSOGBO — Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering on all its campaign promises as the state marks its 34th anniversary. In a statewide broadcast, the governor called on all stakeholders to work in unity for the continued growth and progress of the state.
Describing the occasion as a day of both pride and reflection, Governor Adeleke paid tribute to the founding fathers, traditional rulers, and community leaders whose sacrifices led to the creation of the state on August 27, 1991. “Today, we honour those who fought tirelessly for our identity. Their sacrifices remain the bedrock of the Osun we cherish today,” he stated.
Governor Adeleke highlighted several key achievements of his administration, including major strides in infrastructure, such as road construction, rural electrification, and the provision of potable water. He also cited progress in the healthcare sector through medical outreaches and the renovation of primary healthcare facilities.
On socio-economic development, the governor noted that his government has maintained the regular payment of workers’ salaries, supported farmers, and empowered small-scale businesses. He further emphasized that his administration remains dedicated to building an inclusive and prosperous state where “no citizen is left behind.”
Concluding his address, Governor Adeleke called for renewed unity and adherence to the Omoluabi ethos, urging citizens, traditional rulers, and the private sector to join hands with the government in deepening development.
