The Warri South Local Government Area has announced the opening of applications for its 2025 bursary scheme. The program is for indigenous students of the area currently enrolled in tertiary institutions.

This call was made by the Council’s Supervisor for Human Capital Development, Mrs. Misan Eke, on Tuesday, September 9, on behalf of the Local Government Chairman, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac. The bursary aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students from the local government.
Application Requirements and Submission
To be considered for the bursary, applicants must provide the following:
- Warri South Local Government of Origin Certificate for proof of indigeneship.
- School Admission Letter to confirm current student status.
- Wema Bank Account details, as all payments will be made directly to this account.
Applications can be submitted in two ways:
- Directly to the Office of the Supervisor for Human Capital Development at the Warri South Local Government Council Secretariat.
- Through your respective Ward Councillors, who will then forward the documents to the Council Secretariat.
The application period runs from Wednesday, September 10, 2025, to Friday, October 10, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted. All submissions must be officially acknowledged by the receiving authority to be considered valid.
