LAGOS: ACT Sports Di Oyibo Football Academy has secured a Division One slot in the Nationwide League One (NLO), solidifying its place among Nigeria’s growing football academies.

The Lagos-based club acquired the slot previously held by Morsko FC of Edo State, a move that signals its ambition to compete at a higher level.

Confirming the development, NLO Chief Operating Officer, Olushola Ogunnowo, stated that ACT Sports Di Oyibo FA had fulfilled all necessary requirements for participation in the 2025 season.

“The club has been an affiliate of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) before now but has completed the financial upgrade to secure its NLO status. With this, they are fully compliant with league regulations,” he explained.

The academy’s CEO, Pastor Samuel R. Oyibo, expressed his excitement, calling it a major step toward professional football for his players.

According to Act  Sports Secetary/Translator Pastor Mrs. Maria G. Di Blasi “This has been our goal to give young footballers a chance to compete on a bigger stage.

“Now, they have the opportunity to prove themselves in Nationwide League One,” Maria said.

With the confirmation of their new status, ACT Sports Di Oyibo FA will be competing in Lagos State, and fans are eager to see how the team will perform in the upcoming season.
