The Niger Delta Movement for Coalition (NDMC) has called on Nigerian youths to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a way of taking active ownership of the country’s future.

In a statement issued to mark International Youth Day, the NDMC said the ADC’s growing acceptance across the country reflects its vision for a better and more inclusive Nigeria.

The group stressed that young people’s energy, creativity, and passion are vital to shaping the nation’s direction, adding that the time has come for them to take a leading role in national transformation.

“We urge the youth to not only be part of this movement but to play a key, active, and leading role in it. Your future is at stake, and it is crucial that you take ownership of the decisions that will shape your destiny,” the statement read.

The NDMC noted that the ADC offers a platform for youths to contribute meaningfully to the country’s progress, while also empowering them to express their views and influence policy.

“As we celebrate International Youth Day, we recognize that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow but also the leaders of today. It is time for you to take charge and assert your influence in shaping the future of our nation,” the group said.

The coalition reaffirmed its commitment to empowering youths and aligning with their aspirations, expressing confidence that with active youth participation, Nigeria can become more just, equitable, and prosperous.

The NDMC urged all young Nigerians to join the ADC and work together to build a brighter future for present and future generations.

“In conclusion, we reiterate our belief in the potential of the youth to drive change. Together, we can achieve greatness and build a brighter future for our country,” the statement added.
