Tragedy struck again on Monday at the Karu Bridge along the Abuja-Nasarawa expressway as another road crash claimed multiple lives.
Eyewitnesses told Daily Trust that the accident involved a trailer and a vehicle transporting sachet water, commonly called “pure water.”
The incident occurred barely 24 hours after another fatal crash was reported at the same location, heightening public concern over the safety of the busy expressway.
So far in 2025, the Nyanya-Keffi road, which links the Federal Capital Territory to Benue and Plateau states, has witnessed at least three deadly accidents.
Emergency responders were at the scene as of the time of filing this report, although the exact number of casualties is yet to be confirmed.
