Agbateyinro Vows to Deliver More Projects in Warri South

By Peter Onyekachukwu

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State, Hon. Isaac Agbateyinro, has reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling campaign promises, describing them as a social contract he will continue to uphold.

He made the remark on July 24 during a project assessment visit by a team of journalists led by the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Delta State Council, Hon. Churchill Oyowe, at the Council Secretariat in Warri.

Agbateyinro said he is focused on improving the lives of residents by providing basic amenities and more dividends of democracy to reduce the people’s hardships.

Hon. Oyowe, while speaking on the purpose of the visit, said, “Our visit is to verify the extent of work being executed and the dividends of democracy being extended for the benefit of the people in the area. Ours is not a jamboree, and we heard from the grapevine that the Council, led by the Chairman, is doing a lot of things to improve the welfare of the populace.”

He added that the NUJ team had earlier visited Bomadi Local Government Area as part of their tour across the state.

During the visit, the journalists inspected various ongoing projects within Warri and its surroundings.

Also speaking during the interactive session, some Supervisory Councillors praised Agbateyinro for sticking to his campaign promises.

Representing the Council Chairman, Deputy Leader of the Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Egbe, highlighted the developmental strides recorded under Agbateyinro’s administration.

“He is actually fulfilling his promises to the people, and we hope for more,” Egbe stated.
