Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has urged Nigerians to demonstrate enduring commitment to the welfare of widows and families of the country’s fallen heroes.
Oborevwori who made the plea while addressing journalists shortly after participating in the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day ceremony held at the Cenotaph in Asaba, the state capital, prayed for God to grant the souls of the fallen heroes eternal rest and also to console with their families.
He assured the families of the deceased military personnel that their sacrifices would not be in vain, stressing the significance of the event in commemorating the sacrifices of Nigeria’s Armed Forces.
The Governor led other top government functionaries, military, and paramilitary personnel to lay wreaths in honour of the nation’s fallen heroes.
