Tanner Martin, the widely loved influencer known for his raw, humorous documentation of his cancer journey, has died at the age of 30, just weeks after welcoming his first child, a daughter named AmyLou, with his wife Shay Wright.
With nearly half a million followers, Tanner inspired the world by facing stage-four colon cancer with unshakable optimism, vulnerability, and wit. The news of his passing was delivered in a deeply moving pre-recorded video posted to his Instagram, where he had shared his highs and lows for five years.
“Hey, it’s me, Tanner. If you’re watching this, I am dead,” he began, offering a soft laugh in classic Tanner style.
In the video, he reflected on his life with immense gratitude:
“Life was awesome. I really enjoyed it while I was here.”
