The immediate past Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Adejobi Muyiwa, has assumed duty as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Delta State Command.
Confirming the development, sources within the Command said DCP Adejobi officially resumed duty on Tuesday, marking a major boost to security leadership in the state.
Adejobi, widely known for his tenure as the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, is expected to leverage his national-level experience in law enforcement and strategic communication to enhance operational efficiency across Delta.
His appointment comes at a time the state is intensifying efforts to tackle rising security concerns, ranging from kidnapping and armed robbery to cult-related violence.
Security analysts believe his background in public engagement and policing strategy will play a crucial role in strengthening collaboration between the police and communities in Delta.
