There is palpable tension in Okere Urhobo Kingdom after hoodlums on Thursday night set fire on the building housing the Kingdom’s Youth office.
The attack is said to be connected to recent directive by the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom,H.R.M Ogheneochuko Morrison Eyekpimi Egboboye, Owhotemu, 2nd and the Nigerian Police Force, Delta state command, that no traditional festival be held in the kingdom until lingering disputes are resolved.
Youths President of the Kingdom,Hon Elvis Okpako Eboh, who spoke to newsmen on Friday morning, said the arsonist are suspected to be working with group of individuals who are opposed to the kings directive and youth Leadership.
While calling on the youths to remain calm, Hon.Eboh assured that the perpetrators will be brought to book.
