The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Aina Adesola, has continued his familiarisation visits to sister security agencies in the state, with a renewed call for strengthened inter-agency collaboration and coordinated security operations.
CP Adesola, accompanied by members of the Command’s Management Team, on Thursday visited the Delta State Commands of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) as part of efforts to enhance synergy among security stakeholders.
At the Nigeria Immigration Service, the police team was received by the Controller of Immigration, GC Ozodinobi, PSC, while the NDLEA State Commander, CN Halilu Hamidu, PhD, received the delegation at the agency’s headquarters. The team also paid a courtesy visit to the RS 5.2 Delta Sector Command of the FRSC, where they were welcomed by the Sector Commander, Joyce Alexander.
Speaking during the visits, CP Adesola stressed that effective policing and security management depend largely on sustained cooperation, intelligence sharing and mutual support among all security agencies.
He noted that crimes such as drug trafficking, illegal migration, and traffic-related offences require a collective and coordinated response, adding that no single agency can effectively tackle security challenges in isolation.
The Commissioner of Police reaffirmed the commitment of the Delta State Police Command to maintaining cordial and productive working relationships with sister agencies in line with national security objectives.
According to him, the police will continue to work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure the safety of lives and property across the state.
In their separate responses, the heads of the NIS, NDLEA and FRSC commands in Delta State commended CP Adesola for the visit and described it as a positive step toward deepening institutional cooperation.
They assured the Commissioner of Police of their readiness to sustain collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force in combating crime and promoting public safety.
The Delta State Police Command said it remains committed to partnership-driven policing and effective inter-agency coordination in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities.
