DELTA: The Delta State Government has announced the commencement of the 2023/2024 Students Special Assistance Scheme (Bursary Award), benefiting 32,028 students of Delta origin in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
The Executive Secretary of the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, Dr. Godfrey Enita, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Asaba, confirming that payments would begin on February 3, 2025.
“This is to notify the general public, particularly students of Delta State origin in tertiary institutions, that the 2023/2024 bursary payment will commence on February 3, 2025,” Enita stated.
He commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for approving the bursary scheme, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to educational development under the M.O.R.E Agenda.
“The Delta State Government prioritizes the welfare of its students and remains committed to enhancing education across the state. We urge all 32,028 beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and be worthy ambassadors of Delta State in their institutions,” he added.
The bursary is open to Delta State students who successfully completed the registration and verification process for the 2023/2024 academic session.
