Delta Sports Commission Chairman to prioritize athletes WELFARE…

Newly inaugurated chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission ,Joshua Oborevwori has pledge to make the welfare of Delta State athletes a top priority.
This followed complaints over delay in payment of of players salaries and bonuses.
Oborevwori spoke when he alongside the first board member of the commission, Sam Sodje and Director General of the commission visited the camps of Delta Queens Football Club and Warri Wolves Football Club.
The sports commission boss, while addressing the players, commended them for their commitment and assured that under his watch their salaries and match bonuses will be paid promptly.
” I want to thank you all for your commitment to the club, I want to tell you that I and my board members really appreciate your efforts and we want to assure you that your welfare is paramount to this board,we will do our best to ensure prompt payment of your entitlements”
Oborevwori also said plans are already in place for repairs and renovation work at their respective camp, stressing the governor of the state,Rt hon Sheriff Oborevwori,is deeply committed to providing world class facilities that will ensure sports development in the state.
The new board chairman had on Saturday motivated Warri Wolves players with three hundred thousand naira following their 2-0 victory to Crown FC at the Sapele Township Stadium, in match day one of the NNL season.
