DSS Warns Public, Sacks 115 Officers Over Reforms

By Peter Onyekachukwu

The Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed 115 of its personnel as part of sweeping reforms aimed at repositioning the agency.

The announcement, contained in a public notice on the DSS official website on Tuesday, stated that the affected officers were relieved of their duties between 2024 and 2025.

In the notice, the secret police published the names and photographs of the dismissed operatives and cautioned members of the public against transacting any official business with them.

“As part of the ongoing reforms in the Department of State Services (DSS), the public is hereby informed that a total of 115 personnel have been dismissed over a period,” the statement read.

It added: “Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from any official dealing with these individuals who have been dismissed by the Service.”
