Eid-el-Fitr: Oborevwori Calls for Unity, Prayers for Nigeria

DELTA: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has extended his heartfelt felicitations to Muslims in Delta State, Nigeria, and across the globe on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

In a message issued on Sunday in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor described Eid-el-Fitr as a time of gratitude, compassion, and reflection on the values of peace and unity. 

He urged the Muslim faithful to sustain the virtues of love, self discipline, and sacrifice demonstrated during the holy month of Ramadan.

Governor Oborevwori commended the Muslim community in Delta State for their contributions to peace and development, assuring them of his administration’s continued commitment to religious harmony and inclusivity.

“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta State, I extend warm greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr. 

This festival is a reminder of the virtues of patience, sacrifice, and mutual understanding, which our nation needs more than ever,” he stated.

The governor also called on Nigerians to pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the country, stressing the importance of national unity in overcoming economic and security challenges. 

He reassured the people of Delta State of his government’s dedication to good governance and improved living standards.

Oborevwori wished all Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
