On the Occasion of the 4th Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR,
The Olu of Warri
Warmest New Month Greetings to the Illustrious Sons and Daughters of Warri Kingdom, both
at home and in the diaspora.
As the month of August unfolds, it brings with it a renewed sense of pride, gratitude, and deep
reverence for a moment that forever altered the course of our history—the Coronation of our
beloved Monarch and Father, His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR, the Olu of Warri.
Four years ago, the Kingdom of Warri stood united in joy and spiritual significance as the
sacred crown was placed upon the head of a King destined to lead with wisdom, vision,
compassion, and grace. Since that day, His Majesty has exemplified what it means to be not
only a custodian of culture and tradition but a bridge between the past and the future—a beacon
of peace, progressive leadership, and God-centered kingship.
His reign has reignited a spirit of purpose across Iwere land, with a strong focus on youth
empowerment, economic revitalization, education, women inclusion, and cultural diplomacy.
Under his watch, the Kingdom of Warri has earned growing national and international
respect—yet even more commendable is the spirit of unity and mutual respect he continues to
cultivate among his people.
In this 4th year of his reign, we are reminded that our greatest strength lies not just in our rich
traditions or natural resources, but in our ability to come together as one people—Itsekiri,
united in heart and vision, regardless of differences in creed, background, or affiliation.
We are called, now more than ever, to uphold tolerance, dialogue, and collective responsibility
as pillars upon which the next generation of Warri sons and daughters will stand. Let this
Coronation Anniversary serve not only as a time of celebration but also as a moment of sober
reflection—an opportunity to recommit ourselves to building a peaceful, prosperous, and
united Iwere Nation.
As we gather to mark this noble occasion—with songs, dance, prayers, and cultural
expressions—may we do so with hearts full of gratitude and eyes fixed firmly on the future. A
future we must build together, hand in hand, guided by the timeless wisdom of our ancestors
and the dynamic leadership of our Monarch.
We pray that the Almighty continues to endow His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR, with
long life, divine health, and unceasing wisdom. May his reign remain a fountain of blessings
to all Itsekiri people and a beacon of hope to generations yet unborn.
Ogiame Suo oooo !
Long Live Ogiame Atuwatse III !
Long Live the Kingdom of Warri !
