Hospital Disregard Viral Report on Actress Regina Daniels

ABUJA—Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja has issued a strong denial, distancing itself from a viral medical report that claimed actress Regina Daniels was diagnosed with a severe substance use disorder.

The controversial document, which circulated widely online, purportedly stated that Daniels was placed on a home-based detox programme beginning September 24, 2025, and carried the alleged signature of the hospital’s Managing Director and Head of Clinical Services, Adekunle Adesina.

On Thursday, the hospital released a formal statement insisting that the report was fraudulent and did not originate from their facility.

“Our attention has been drawn to a post on an alleged mid-term home detox report being circulated online in the name of Serenity Royale Hospital with respect to Nwoko Regina. We wish to state clearly that the publication and circulation of the said post containing classified information did not emanate from us and respectfully request the public to disregard the same,” the hospital’s disclaimer read.

The viral report emerged amid a public spat involving Daniels and Laila Charani, one of her estranged husband’s wives. Earlier in the week, Charani had publicly accused Daniels on Instagram of introducing her to drugs and alcohol, stating the addiction nearly destroyed her marriage six years prior.

Charani urged Daniels to continue rehabilitation, noting that her husband, Ned Nwoko, has a strict stance against substance use. Charani specifically alleged that Daniels’ current dispute with Nwoko was because “he wants you to stop your drug and alcohol addiction,” adding that Nwoko’s insistence on intervention rescued her from a “dark path.”

Daniels, meanwhile, continued to address her estranged husband online, claiming that her “ex-man never slept outside for one day in our seven years of marriage” because she “held him well in the other room.”
