DELTA: Passengers on the Ujevwu-Itakpe-Agbor train route have expressed outrage over what they described as negligence by the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) following a distressing incident on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
The train, carrying over 600 commuters, departed Itakpe at 3:30 pm but was abruptly halted at Agbor station.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver turned off the engine, leaving passengers, including children, mothers, and the elderly, stranded. His reason? The reported kidnapping of a colleague who was supposed to take over his shift the previous day.
