Just two days after celebrating his 90th birthday, the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, has passed on, marking exactly one year since he ascended the ancient throne.
Crowned as the 43rd Olubadan on July 12, 2024, and officially handed the staff of office by Governor Seyi Makinde, Oba Olakulehin brought wisdom, calm, and grace to the revered stool.
Ibadan land is in mourning, but history will remember him as a monarch who reigned with dignity even if only briefly.
May his royal soul rest in perfect peace
