The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced 150 as the minimum cut-off mark for admission into Nigerian universities for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The decision was made on Tuesday during the 2025 Policy Meeting on Admissions, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja. The meeting had in attendance key stakeholders from tertiary institutions across the country.
In addition to the university benchmark, JAMB also approved minimum scores of:
- 140 for colleges of nursing sciences
- 100 for polytechnics
- 100 for colleges of education
- 100 for colleges of agriculture
JAMB disclosed the resolutions through its official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating that these thresholds were jointly agreed upon by heads of tertiary institutions nationwide.
These new benchmarks will guide admission processes across institutions for the upcoming academic session.
