President Bola Tinubu has relieved Fegho John Umunubo, his Special Assistant on Digital and Creative Economy in the Office of the Vice President, of his appointment.
The decision was announced on Monday in a statement by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House.
According to the statement, Umunubo no longer represents or speaks for the government in any capacity.
The presidency also cautioned members of the public against engaging him on behalf of the administration.
“Anyone who interfaces with him in the name of President Tinubu’s administration does so at his or her own risk,” the notice stated.
The presidency urged both local and international stakeholders in the digital and creative economy to take note of the development.
