Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has dismissed two Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) after separate investigative committees found them guilty of serious misconduct.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Farouk, one of the aides was removed for his role in facilitating the bail of suspected drug baron, Sulaiman Aminu Danwawu. The other was sacked for diverting palliative grains meant for vulnerable residents of the state.
In a related development, the Special Adviser on Drainage, Musa Ado Tsamiya, was cleared of all allegations and exonerated by the investigative panel.
Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration’s commitment to discipline, transparency, and zero tolerance for corruption, warning public officials to maintain the highest standards of integrity in both public and private conduct.
The statement further cautioned the public against engaging the dismissed aides in any matter relating to the Kano State Government, stressing that anyone who does so does so at their own risk.
The development comes just days after the State Commissioner for Transportation, Ibrahim Namadi, resigned following his indictment by an investigative committee over his role in the controversial bail of Danwawu.
