Nigerians Calls For Music Icon, Tuface Idibia’s Rescue From Wife Natasha

Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has been embroiled in a major public crisis following a chaotic Instagram Live session hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze, which escalated into audible marital conflict and impassioned public calls for the artist to be “saved.”

The controversy centers on 2Baba’s new wife, Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, and allegations of controlling behavior and domestic turbulence that have been widely circulated on social media, leading to a significant public backlash.

Heated Exchange on Instagram Live

The viral incident occurred on Monday during Daddy Freeze’s livestream, which featured two of 2Baba’s former management associates, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan. During the session, the former staff made serious, unverified claims alleging that Natasha was exerting excessive control over 2Baba’s personal and professional life and was prone to fits of rage.

The situation became chaotic when 2Baba abruptly joined the live session, instructing his former managers to cease discussing his private affairs. Moments later, raised voices believed to be 2Baba and Natasha were audibly heard off-camera engaging in a heated argument, forcing the broadcast to end suddenly.

The most striking development emerged from the former managers’ appeal to the public. Lori Tosan specifically called for intervention, stating: “I want us to use this platform and let us save our artiste… anytime I hear that song ‘Save Me From Myself’, that is just 2Face crying out.”

This narrative was immediately embraced by a segment of the Nigerian public, particularly online users who took to platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram to demand that close associates and family intervene to “rescue” the music star from what they describe as a psychologically abusive and toxic relationship.

Confirmation of UK Arrest and Prior Incidents

Adding gravity to the claims, the former managers confirmed that a previously denied incident involving the couple in the United Kingdom did, in fact, occur. The incident, which happened in October 2025 and forced 2Baba to miss a scheduled concert, reportedly resulted in the singer being briefly detained and handcuffed by police following an altercation with Natasha at a public location.

The former staff also referenced other prior incidents, including a “fracas” at the Lagos Airport, and described Natasha’s behaviour as displaying “pure rage, from zero to 1000.”

2Baba and Natasha Osawaru were officially married in July 2025, months after the singer confirmed his separation from his estranged wife, actress Annie Macaulay Idibia, whose own cryptic posts about “stepping away” added fuel to the ongoing public controversy.
