Already fragmented regional bloc,the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has been dealt further below following the official withdrawal of Niger,Mali and Burkina Faso for the body.
This is contained in a statement issued by ECOWAS which said the exit became effective Wednesday.
The latest development brings to an endil months of trying to glue the bloc together.
