WARRI, DELTA STATE – His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri, has approved a special intervention to assist Itsekiri students who graduated from Novena University under the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) but have been unable to collect their certificates or proceed for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) due to outstanding tuition and clearance fees.
The initiative was announced on Sunday in a press release by Prince Collins Oritsetimeyin Edema, Sole Representative of the Olu of Warri to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), and underscores the monarch’s enduring passion for youth development, empowerment, and educational advancement within the Itsekiri Nation.
According to the release, a structured process has been established to address the challenges. Affected students are required to submit their details through a dedicated Google Form, with data collection running until September 30, 2025.

Upon conclusion of this stage, payments for tuition and clearance fees will begin in batches, ensuring all affected students are cleared to collect their certificates and participate in the NYSC scheme without further obstacles.
“This intervention reflects His Majesty’s unwavering love for the Itsekiri people and his vision of a future where no Itsekiri youth is denied access to education or opportunities for growth,” the statement read.
