DELTA: The Founder of OMO Foundation, Dr. Oritsegbegbemi Maurice Ojo-Ede, has reiterated the organization’s commitment to sustainable development as it marked its 5th anniversary with the commissioning of three water projects in Koko Community, Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State.

Speaking at the event on Friday, Dr. Ojo-Ede emphasized the foundation’s mission to address pressing challenges in communities, including access to clean water, quality education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.

“It is with immense gratitude and pride that we celebrate five years of driving transformation across communities. Access to clean water is not just a necessity but a symbol of hope and resilience for the people we serve,” Dr. Ojo-Ede said.

Highlighting the foundation’s achievements, he stated that the water projects will provide clean and safe drinking water to thousands of residents, significantly improving health and sanitation in the area.

The Delta State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Solomon Areyenka, commended the foundation’s efforts, noting that its initiatives complement government programs.

“For this foundation to commission three boreholes for Koko Community is a laudable achievement. We will ensure the state government recognizes and supports this effort,” he remarked.

Similarly, Hon. Hon Fetus Ashima, Chairman of Warri North Local Government Council, praised the OMO Foundation for its impactful contributions.

He said, “These projects underscore the power of collaboration between NGOs, local governments, and communities. Access to clean water is a fundamental right, and today we celebrate this significant milestone,” he said.

He urged the community to ensure the facilities’ proper use and maintenance, adding, “This resource will improve health, hygiene, and overall well-being.”

As OMO Foundation celebrates its fifth year, it continues to focus on education, healthcare, community development, and environmental sustainability. Dr. Ojo-Ede reaffirmed his commitment to expanding the foundation’s reach and driving more impactful initiatives in the years ahead.
