The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, HON (High Chief) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode,JP, FCIA. says his administration will revamp internal generated revenue in order to get increased federal allocation to enhance economic diversification and good governance to bring about meaningful development to Udu Local Government Council.
The Chairman made this declaration during press interview immediately after presenting the Budget Estimate of the 2025 Fiscal Year tagged “BUDGET OF HOPE to the Udu Local Government Legislative Arm on Tuesday 25th March at the Legislative Chamber Otor-Udu.Oyibode presented the total sum of Thirteen Billion, Eight Hundred and Twenty Three Million, nine Hundred and Seventy Four Thousand, Three Hundred and Ninety Two Naira,Eighty Seven Kobo.(₦13, 823,974,392.87.).
He explained that the estimated budget will be generated from the Federal Statutory Allocation, State Statutory Allocation, Share Vat, Excess Crude as well as Internal Generated Revenue.Recurrent expenditure will Gulf the total sum of Seven Sillion, Six Hundred and Forty Million, Eight hundred and Thirty Thousand, Two Hundred and Sixty Six Naira, Twenty Three Kobo.(7,640,830,266,23.).
Which is 55.27 percent of the total estimated budget. While Capital Expenditure is Six Billion, One Hundred and Eighty Three Million, One Hundred and Forty Four Thousand, One Hundred and Twenty Six Naira, Twenty Three Kobo (₦6,183,144,226,23) which is 44.73 percent.
The 2025 estimated budget when compared to the 2024 approved budget the 2025 estimated budget is higher with a difference of Five Billion, Seven Hundred and Thirty five Million, Eight Hundred and Eighty One Thousand, One Hundred and Fifty Three Naira which is 44.49 percent higher than 2024 approved budget.
He used the opportunity to thank the members of the legislative arm for their cordial relationship with the Executive arm of the local Government and appealed for speed consideration and approval of the 2025 estimated budget.
He also promised when approved, it will be judiciously used for the development of Udu Local Government Council.
The Leader of the Legislative Arm, RT(HON) Henry Apunu well come the Chairman and his entourage and promised quick deliberation and approval of the 2025 budget for the well being of Udu Local Government people.
