DELTA: As Nigeria intensifies preparations for the 2025 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Super Eagles head coach José Peseiro has named a 23-man squad for the upcoming encounters against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
The highly anticipated fixtures will see the Eagles face Rwanda away on March 19 before returning to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, for a showdown with Zimbabwe on March 22 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
The squad selection reflects a blend of experience and youthful energy, with key players expected to drive Nigeria’s campaign towards securing a World Cup ticket. Speaking on the squad list, Peseiro expressed confidence in the players’ abilities, emphasizing the importance of a strong start in the qualifiers.
“We have carefully selected players who are in top form and can deliver results. Every game in the qualifiers is crucial, and we are fully committed to getting maximum points from these matches,” Peseiro said.
