DELTA: A Niger Delta-based advocacy group, the Niger Delta Volunteers (NDV), has commended Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) for its contributions to the stability and growth of Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
Speaking at a press conference, NDV’s convener, Comrade Akpobome Francis, highlighted PINL’s efforts in securing oil infrastructure, curbing pipeline vandalism, and fostering harmony between oil firms and host communities.
“Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited has set a new standard in the industry by prioritizing security, efficiency, and social responsibility,” Francis said. “Their commitment has significantly reduced oil bunkering and enhanced community engagement.”
The group also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for boosting oil production by 800,000 barrels per day within 18 months, surpassing OPEC targets for the first time in four years.
Francis stressed that PINL’s operational policies, including prompt salary payments and adherence to international best practices, have made it a model for other oil and gas companies.
“The company’s investment in modern pipeline technology has improved security, reduced oil theft, and ensured a steady supply chain,” he added.
NDV urged other stakeholders in the sector to emulate PINL’s approach to fostering sustainable oil and gas operations, while calling on the company to sustain its efforts in innovation and community development.
