As part of a growing push for economic self-reliance among Nigerian youths, particularly in the Niger Delta region, Top Private Security Services Limited, in partnership with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), will commence a youth-focused empowerment training on Monday, June 9, 2025, in Warri, Delta State.
The initiative, which aims to equip young people with practical, income-generating skills, is themed around “High-Selling and Self-Reliance Skills.” It is targeted at addressing unemployment by providing young people with vocational abilities that are in high demand in today’s economy.
In a statement made available to our correspondent and signed by the management of Top Private Security Services, the organization emphasized the importance of equipping youths with practical know-how in a rapidly evolving society.
“The future belongs to youths who can adapt and create value. This training is not just about learning a skill, it’s about unlocking a mindset of independence and resilience,” the statement read.
Scheduled to take place at the TPS Academy headquarters, located at 10 Odion Road, Warri, the sessions will hold on Monday, June 9, and continue on Sunday, June 15. The training will commence by 9 a.m. on both days.
The facilitators, described as “seasoned beauticians with proven industry experience,” are expected to provide hands-on guidance, sharing not just technical expertise but also insights into how to navigate the competitive market successfully.
Encouraging youths to participate, the organizers stressed the long-term benefits of vocational education. “In this changing world, the ability to earn independently is a powerful tool. We urge young people in Warri to seize this opportunity to learn, grow, and take charge of their financial futures,” the statement concluded.
The program adds to ongoing efforts to stimulate grassroots development and economic inclusion through skill acquisition—one of the many ways stakeholders are tackling youth unemployment in the region.
