The General Overseer of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, Onitsha, Prophet Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere, popularly called Odumeje, has stirred controversy after predicting his own death.
Speaking during a recent church service, Odumeje told his congregation that his mission on earth was almost completed and that when the time comes, nobody would see his corpse.
“I am the strongest spiritual man in the world after Emmanuel TB Joshua. One has finished his assignment and returned home. Remaining is the Lion Himself, the dead man. I don’t have much time to spend here. Nobody will see my corpse,” the preacher declared.
He stressed that his calling was never about longevity but about fulfilling a divine assignment, adding that his ministry was founded to prove the supremacy of Jesus Christ.
Odumeje, who often describes himself with phrases like “the liquid metal”, “the war”, and “the indaboski bahose”, has built a reputation for his unconventional style of preaching, dramatic deliverance sessions and bold prophecies that continue to divide opinion across Nigeria.
While some of his followers regard him as a fearless prophet, critics accuse him of courting controversy and seeking attention with sensational statements.
