DELTA: Three lives were tragically lost at Okpaka Junction along the DSC Expressway in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State when a speeding Toyota Camry driver crashed into roadside shops.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the victims included a mother, her young daughter, and another male shop owner, all of whom died on the spot.
“The driver was moving at an uncontrollable speed when he lost control and veered into the shops. It was heartbreaking. People were screaming and running for safety,” a resident recounted.
Adding to the sorrow, another witness described the scene: “The woman’s husband stood there speechless, staring at the lifeless bodies of his wife and daughter. It was a devastating sight.”
The driver, who was immediately apprehended, has been handed over to the police.
As of the time of this report, the Delta State Police Command has not released an official statement. Further updates are expected.
