The Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, alongside Her Majesty Olori Atuwatse III, will welcome Côte d’Ivoire’s Deputy Senate President, Senator Fanny Moussokoura Chantal, to the Warri Kingdom from January 23 to 25, 2025.
The historic visit underscores the kingdom’s commitment to regional collaboration, female empowerment, and sustainable development in Africa.
Senator Chantal, a strong advocate for women’s leadership and regional progress, also serves as the First Vice President of the ECOWAS Female Parliament Association (ECOFEPA).
“This visit represents a unique opportunity to celebrate shared values, strengthen collaboration, and create meaningful dialogue for the betterment of our communities,” stated His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III.
Her Majesty Olori Atuwatse III remarked, “It is a privilege to host Senator Chantal,together, we will explore ways to empower women, preserve our heritage, and promote sustainable growth across Africa.
”Day 1- January 23, 2025:
The Deputy Senate President will be received with a grand cultural reception, showcasing the rich traditions of the Warri Kingdom.
Day 2 -January 24, 2025:A Women’s Town Hall Meeting led by His Majesty, with Senator Chantal delivering the keynote speech on empowerment and community development.
Visits to the Royal Iwere Foundation project site and participation in a tree-planting ceremony at Orugbo Love Garden, symbolizing environmental sustainability.
A private dinner hosted by Her Majesty, fostering dialogue among key dignitaries.
Day 3 – January 25, 2025:The visit will conclude with regional discussions to strengthen ties between the Warri Kingdom and Côte d’Ivoire.
The Royal Court expressed its excitement, describing the visit as “a bold step towards building bridges, fostering unity, and advancing progress in West Africa.
