The National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, hosted a high-level delegation of United States lawmakers in Abuja on Sunday, reinforcing the deepening security and strategic cooperation between the two nations.

The visit by the US congressional delegation serves as a crucial follow-up to high-level security discussions held previously in Washington last month. It signals continued robust collaboration in tackling complex regional and national security challenges.

The visiting US delegation included several members of the House of Representatives: Mario Díaz-Balart, Norma Torres, Scott Franklin, Juan Ciscomani, and Riley Moore. They were joined by Richard Mills, the US Ambassador to Nigeria, during the critical meeting at the Office of the National Security Adviser.

The exchange between the Nigerian security chief and the US lawmakers is expected to focus on areas of mutual concern, including counter-terrorism efforts, regional stability in West Africa, and strengthening democratic governance, further cementing the bilateral commitment to peace and security.
