Saudi’s ‘Sleeping Prince’ Allegedly Wakes After Two Decades in Coma

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Unconfirmed reports are circulating online claiming that Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal, son of billionaire Prince Khaled bin Talal, has reportedly awoken from a coma that has lasted nearly two decades. However, these claims remain unverified by members of his family or other close relations.

The Saudi Prince famously fell into a coma in 2005 following a severe car accident in the United Kingdom, where he was studying at a military college. Since the incident, he has remained on life support at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, reliant on a feeding tube.

In 2015, medical professionals advised the family to end life support, but his father, Prince Khaled, steadfastly declined, expressing unwavering faith in a miracle. “If God wanted him to die in the accident, he would have already been buried,” he was quoted as saying.

The ‘Sleeping Prince,’ as he is widely known, had shown brief signs of responsiveness in 2019, such as moving a finger or turning his head. However, reports from that period indicated no further progress towards full consciousness since then.

The recent online claims of his awakening have generated significant interest, but until an official statement is released by the family or confirmed by credible sources, the prince’s long vigil continues.
