Lagos — Globally renowned Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has officially announced the Nigerian leg of his successful “5ive Tour,” with performances scheduled across several major cities this October, November, and December.
Following a string of sold-out shows across the United States and Canada, the multiple award-winning singer confirmed the homecoming tour via a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday.
The Nigerian tour is set to kick off in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, on October 26, before moving to Yola, Adamawa, on October 29, and Enugu on November 1. The tour will then culminate with two major holiday shows in Lagos on November 9 and December 25.
Expressing immense excitement about performing for his home audience, Davido emphasized the special significance of the Nigerian edition.
“I’m blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go Nigeria goes with me. But this time, I’m bringing it home,” the artist wrote. “After an unforgettable North American tour, it’s only right we bring that energy back where it all began.”
Davido concluded his post by dedicating the tour to his fans, stating, “My 5ive Tour Nigeria, y’all ready? This one’s for the culture. This one’s personal. This one’s for us.”
The “5ive Tour” showcases music from the star’s Grammy-nominated album, Timeless, and marks his return to the Nigerian stage for a multi-city performance series after his international success earlier this year.
