Tricycle riders in Effurun/Warri and Environs on Tuesday staged a peaceful protests over enforcement of N12,0000 payment for Apron , basket and ID card calling on Governor Sheriff Oborewvori, Commissioner for Transportation, Onoriode Agofure and the Commissioner for Environment Ejiro Jamani to immediately come to their rescue.
Some of the tricycle riders, who spoke with our news Correspondent Fredrick Umuerure in Effurun, noted that they can no longer complete their daily balancing due to so many levy on them by the ministries.
Responding,the Commissioner for Transportation in the State, Hon. Onoriode Agofure has suspended all enforcement of Levies for ID cards, Apron and baskets on the keke operators till further notice.
In a phone chat with newsmen Agofure said only the daily 300 naira ticket will be sustained for now.
