Chief Victor Onokpite, a Community Leader from Ugolo Community, Okpe Local Government Area, Delta state,has called on governor Sheriff Oborevwori , His Royal Majesty Orhue 1, ORODJE of Okpe Kingdom and Hon.Isaac Esiowa, Chairman of Okpe Local Government Area to intervene in the ongoing leadership crisis rocking Ugolo Community before it snowballs out of control.
Chief Onokpite in chat with newsmen on Sunday,said there’s need to avoid a full scale war, akin to what happened at Okuijirogu, where houses were burnt and people killed.
I am calling on Governor Oborevwori who is in charge of the state and our ORODJE as well Chairman of Okpe Council to intervene because the situation is getting out of hand and I don’t want what happened at Okuijirogu to happen here in Ugolo.
He added that “this is my community that is why I am asking them to intervene to avert crisis and destruction since the situation is getting out of hand! “
